Eglė Tamulytė (b. 1988) is an active interdisciplinary artist working not only in Lithuania but also internationally. The artist has presented over 50 solo and group exhibitions in Germany, USA, Holland, Sweden, Spain, Greece, Italy, France, Great Britain, Serbia, Colombia etc. She was known as Shaltmira, and in 2020 changed her nickname to Aglaja Ray. The artist has a Master's degree in Graphics (Vilnius Academy of Arts). This artist was acknowledged by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.

SCHOLARSHIP

Eglė Tamulytė - Aglaja Ray won a 4 months interdisciplinary art scholarship from Lithuanian Council for Culture. During the summer 2021 she will be working on artist research "Chimeras of nanotechnologies: the end of sci-fi genre".

Aglaja Ray is represented by gallery "MOrka". Her two canvases also are selected to be displayed at "Young collectors' stand". The international contemporary art fair ArtVilnius is the largest event of visual arts in Eastern Europe.

TECHNOTHEOLOGY (2020)

8th of December, 2020 in the heart of the Lithuania’s oldtown - Vokiečių street 13A, at "Art and Science Laboratory" gallery, was opened Aglaja Ray's installation TECHNOTHEOLOGY, followed by the same title  live streamed performance and interview, both with the artist and the scientist she worked with.
