Shaltmira's CYBERGOETIA installation with 'Goldenrats & The Lightning' documentation and drawings at CHASM, a four-day late-night multimedia/ nightlife/ performance/ music event, showcasing some of the most groundbreaking artists working in the Brooklyn scene today. The experience is curated by Julia Sinelnikova, a multimedia artist who often creates under the name The Oracle. “We aim to create a safe and open space for creative dialogue with inclusive, diverse programming and to challenge the traditional venue model,” Sinelnikova explains.

The tagline of this show reads: “Urban Witches is not a feminist exhibition. Rather, it exhibits a new way of seeing the feminine”, which is subversive, seductive and bewitching. Photographer and performance artist Viviana Druga invited eight female artists from different disciplines to exhibit work in response to the pagan cycle of the seasons. Pagan images prevail throughout the artworks by artists Shaltmira, Moran Sanderovich, Frau Feeger, Gaff E , Labanna Babalon, Mad Kate, Viviana Druga and House of Dolls (aka Rubbish Fairy), who collectively create a new-age aesthetic for the contemporary world. In this exhibition, astrology meets rave culture, femininity is celebrated, paganism collides with punk and the urban witch is born.

EATEN BY DUCKS was founded as a group art blog almost 10 years ago, in late 2006. The blog is named after the demise of Wilhelm Busch's famous anarchic duo Max & Moritz.
Most of the initial members already knew each other from sharing and discussing comics and other art on the now defunct Comics Journal web forum. Many had also collaborated on various comic jams there.
While having rather divergent sensibilities concerning art, philosophy and politics, which has led to many heated discussions in the comment sections, the artists' common interest for the unusual, the weird and the monstrous has kept the blog going over all those years, while at the same time the individual artists developed their own artistic visions and pursued their own paths in a wide spectrum of genres, industries, or fields of art.
Several of the founding members have left the group since 2006 but even more exciting artists have joined EATEN BY DUCKS.
